The Pacific Coast Masters Curling Association (PCMCA) was formed to foster competitions for daytime curlers aged 60 and above. The association is for curlers living in the Lower Mainland and on Vancouver Island.
Annual competitions are held to determine four PCMCA Zone winners. Zone winners advance to a combined provincial championship with the four Zone winners from the BC Interior Masters Curling Association (BCIMCA).
The primary purpose today is to promote the sport of curling through fun and competetive events both at the Club level and the Provincial level for curlers aged 60 and above.

The PCMCA Is Now Linked to Curl BC's 50/50 Draws!!
Your Executive, Zone Presidents and Zone Directors have been busy working on new and innovative approaches to fund raising for the PCMCA. These funds are intended to be used for a variety of purposes such as the recent and popular seminar and on-ice sessions directed towards our present and future masters aged member curlers. Other potential projects inlcuding improvements to our current website.

Changes in the PCMCA Executive Oct 2, 2025
At a recent meeting of the PCMCA Board held to initiate a Strategic Planning Process, several changes were made to the Executive team. Lawrence Woytowich submitted his resignation as the President of the PCMCA, having previously indicated his desire to step back from his role as president during various Zone meetings but chose this meeting as the appropriate time to submit his resignation. The Board accepted Lawrence’s resignation and unanimously appointed him to the Past President’s role.
In keeping with the PCMCA’s Bylaws, the Board is authorized to appoint a replacement to serve as President for the remainder of his term (until the AGM next spring) and passed a motion appointing the current Vice-President, Clyde Mitchell, to take over as president until the elections at the 2025 AGM. To fill the resulting Vice President vacancy, the Board passed a further motion to appoint Nancy Stagg, a Director for Zone 3, as the Vice-President of the PCMCA. Nancy will retain her Zone 3 President’s role for the remainder of the 2025-26 curling season. Finally, as many of you will be aware, the PCMCA has been looking for a candidate to replace our past Secretary, Deane Crutch, who resigned from the Board last Spring. At the recent meeting, the Board passed a further motion appointing Wayne Saito, who has been serving in an ex-officio role as our Director of Communications, to fill the vacant Secretary position on the executive. Wayne will fill both the Secretary and Director of Communication roles for the remainder of the 2025/26 curling season. The Treasurer position remains unchanged and continues to be held by Cheryl Eason.
Your updated PCMCA Executive is as follows: President – Clyde Mitchell Vice-President – Nancy Stagg Treasurer – Cheryl Eason Secretary – Wayne Saito Past President – Lawrence Woytowich
